Central Weymouth features little traffic and this makes shopping here all the more appealing. Shopping in Weymouth really is a memorable experience and plenty of opportunities for some serious retail therapy present themselves all around the town.
It is clearly apparent that Weymouth has continually invested in its shopping centres and facilities, and has been extremely successful in attracting many high street stores and well-known chains, such as Boots, Debenhams and Woolworths, amongst others. Shopping in Weymouth ranges from independent and local outlets to considerably larger department stores, with plenty to keep visiting shopaholics entertained for hours.

The enclosed Brewers Quay complex is always a great place to begin your shopping in Weymouth and contains around 20 charming, individual shops, all of which stand close to the waterfront. Plenty of gift ideas and quality souvenirs can be found here, along with more traditional sticks of 'Weymouth Rock' and cheesy seaside postcards.
The harbour shops tend to be especially popular with Weymouth locals and also suit those visiting with an interest in the numerous water sports on offer here, with a particularly good selection along Hope Street. Anglers will find a noteworthy tackle shop just a short distance from the Town Bridge, while the Old Harbour Dive Centre along the Nothe Parade is a good place to hire scuba diving equipment.
Alongside the Weymouth seafront, the busy streets of both St. Thomas and St. Mary and lined with shopping opportunities. The intersecting side streets are always appealing to bargain hunters. Other highlights here include bakeries selling freshly made sandwiches and pasties, and also cafes serving traditional cream teas, which are particularly targeted at tourists visiting Weymouth.
For further shopping in Weymouth, be sure to consider the nearby Colwell Centre at Westham Road, which has become a lively part of the town. A small shopping area is also located around Jubilee Square, although this spot can be hard to reach by car on busy days.
